Day 2
dAY 2, June 02, 2005
The suffering has surfaced, I don’t mean about philosophical judgments on the world’s state of affairs. But just mine, the 7 beers and maybe so many other factors have some how contributed to a weak stomach lining. Which as of now seems incapable of keeping things in check. Ok enough gross topics.

Other than this experienced the same unwillingness to edge to the office on time. This time around stood in the best bill paying centers in the country. Dude that’s what I call reliance, the office is sleek. People actually dress appropriately and sound very corporatist unlike most govt. companies that induce people is rather sending helpers to go pay the bills. Service is a lot quicker with almost no queues.

Reached office yes I did. The team leaders are more inclined and touched by creating mementoes of people, I did the shoddy work of creating the really stupid design. But all the same it was influenced by so many ideas. I disown the design and I am not planning to take my cup. Grrr…. I mean I have never made anydesign look that bad.

And now I have to gear for the wonderful relieving procedures, which compose getting forms signed by every tom dick and harry in the patni countryside. Well I am going to meet people I have never met before and they are going to sign on the fact that they are sure that I don’t have any dues.

I guess its just protocol, I wish they just handed me the check and gave me lots of gifts.

Day 1 - 10 to go

Day 1
-----
Woke up on June 01, 2005. It’s a Wednesday and it all seems beginning to fall in motion very soon. The day before, a total indulgence of beating the heat with beer, come on 7 bottles, that’s almost how much a small party drinks. And after that long ride through the deserted streets of Mahalkali Caves road things seem very routine. An unfamiliar sight for most mumbiaties, i still manage to see Mumbai sleeping a lot of times.

Back to the day, lazed up and in no mood to do that little bit to save the world. I still manage to wakeup at 11, it all seems sequential the do be done things that almost don’t get done. The water needs to be heated, a bath taken and a visit to the most glorious places of all. Office.

And the office happens; the auto driver is all so sweet to offer his best talk of the day. The monsoons beginning to happen sooner then before and the fact that we could reach in time (12?).

The office is a weird place, you see so many people doing there own things – laughing, smiling, smoking, eating, typing that you really wonder how do these guys make money (I mean the company).

The day is normally divided into three parts, the first when you scan your card in, the second one when you sign out, and the middle one – the numerous time you go out to pick a coffee and speak about the future of this world including cinema, food, morality and other issues that get you nowhere.

Sometimes you have your your boss requesting you to complete a task. You just open the mail and something takes over you. You are actually sleeping but the world gets a different view the increasing no of bug counts, cross errors and things that shouldn’t be there. And they think you are really consciously trying to solve something.

Or blame you for bad commenting and bad coding and irresponsible behavior in java or c# dot net environment. I know a lot of people including dust bunnies who have seen weird errors rise all on their own. But they just don’t believe you, if they do the paradox is you stop getting your salary.

Hmm…this can’t be generalized I am probably one of the few who practice this weird format of work culture. Get up late, swipe in – swipe out, drink tea/coffee and then enter the surreal world of looking like you working.

and best i love about the mails, is the feeling of being in the army. you get a mail which requests some guy above to look into his sub-ordinate's details.
